Shockwave therapy is one of the many treatment options available to equine athletes. Carolina Equine Hospital uses the VersaTron® high-frequency shock wave unit as a non-invasive therapy for chronic pain and lameness. Extracorporeal shock wave therapy is used to treat a number of musculoskeletal disorders in horses including:
