Carolina Equine Hospital has facilities to offer a variety of equine surgical procedures. Most surgeries are performed on an out-patient basis.

Some procedures that are routinely performed include castration, umbilical hernia repair, periosteal elevation surgery for limb deformities in foals, ligament surgery for contracted joints, enucleation (eye removal), various types of tumor removal, laceration repair, and cryosurgery for tumor treatment.

Colic surgery is not performed at Carolina Equine Hospital, with most cases referred to either NC State or Virginia Tech.
