Do I have to pay the whole fee up-front?

Yes, the fee is payable at the time of the first preventative care visit.

Is the fee refundable?

In general, the fee is non-refundable.  However, in cases of extenuating circumstances (death of the patient, you and the patient move outside the service territory of the hospital, the patient is sold), CEH will apply a credit to your account in the amount of the plan fee, minus the full-price cost of the services provided at the first visit.  Cash refunds may be offered at the discretion of Carolina Equine Hospital.   

Can I transfer the program to another horse?

The program is specific to the horse it is invoiced to and is not transferable.  In some circumstances, part of the fee may be credited to your account or refunded.  See ‘Is the fee refundable?’

I do not think my horse will need everything included in the program. Do I get a refund for services I do not want?

The components of program have been chosen to provide the best standard of care for the majority of patients.  Refunds/credits are not offered for services that are not invoiced.

I forgot to schedule my second visit and my horse’s program has expired. Can I extend the program length? 

The program is only in effect for one year from the invoice date.  Special care will be taken to ensure that we contact you by email and telephone to let you know when it is time to schedule your patient’s second visit.  You are also welcome to schedule your horse’s second visit at the time of the first visit.     

My account has an overdue balance. Can I still get the second visit?  

Your account must be current to receive the second visit at a discount.  If your account is overdue, Carolina Equine Hospital reserves the right to terminate the program, re-invoice the services already provided, at full price, and credit the remainder to your account. 

Does the discounted farm call apply to non-plan horses if they are seen during my plan horse’s wellness visit?

Carolina Equine Hospital reserves the right to charge a separate farm call if patients who are not on the plan are seen at the same visit.
