Experimental Study to help horses with respiratory disease

Sort Posts

Carolina Equine Hospital is participating in a nation-wide study of a new investigational medication for horses with heaves.

If your horse has been diagnosed with Recurrent Airway Obstruction (RAO) or Summer Pasture Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (SPAOPD) and you would like to participate in the two-phase, FDA-regulated, placebo controlled double-blind study of an investigational drug, contact Dr. Mark Wallace for more information, requirements, and possible inclusion in this study.

Participation is free as are all diagnostic tests and evaluations required for the study.  The Study Investigator will come to your location during Phase 1, so no travel is required.  If you participate in Phase 2, some travel with your horse, to and from Carolina Equine Hospital, may be required. More details about the study can be found at www.equinestudy.com.  Contact Dr. Mark Wallace at Carolina Equine Hospital.
